March Poems and Calendar Journal

Thank you to everyone who posts the wonderful comments each month! When I started this blog I planned on sharing all the fabulous stuff I do in my class, but I've been so busy I never feel like I have the time. I'm totally jealous of all of you that find the time to blog daily or even weekly. My goal is to try harder to share more! Here are March's poems and calendar math journal. I'll try to post a preview pic tomorrow... if I have time! =)

  2. I teach first grade and we use your monthly poems {and love them!}. My little ones give me a really hard time if I don't have them printed at the beginning of the month, they so look forward to them. We use it during our word work portion and find various patterns in the words, read it then illustrate. I tell everyone I know about them! Great work :) -Jen from The Go To Teacher

  15. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! how's that for encouragement? :D wish i had this when i was teaching 1st grade back in the day!

do you know any awesome 4th grade LA teachers like you?? our daughter is in her first year of teaching - got the job a month into the school year at a turn around school with the lowest scores in all of duval county. her first day teaching the father of one of her students was shot and killed over drugs. crazy place to say the least. plus, the school is so small that she is the ONLY 4th grade LA teacher and doesn't have a decent mentor. that's how i found you. i was researching CHAMPS - specifically graphics for it. i made her a set when she started, but now that we understand it a bit better, we need to revamp it and make it more suitable for her classroom environment. the behavior issues are quite severe as you can well imagine.

anywho, thanks for taking the time to share and to pour into the lives of the families you touch each and everyday in your classroom. blessings!
